DOSAGE

Standard: 3–4 capsules three times daily on an empty stomach with warm water. Take for at least 1–2 weeks to complete a full course and avoid antibiotic resistance. Not for long-term use — discontinue when desired effects are achieved.

Supplementary formulas: Broader damp-heat along Liver and Gallbladder channels — use Gentiana Complex. Bacterial infection — add Herbal ABX. Viral infection — add Herbal AVR. Chronic or recurrent vaginitis with underlying Kidney yang deficiency — add Kidney Tonic (Yang) in a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio. Menopausal vaginal dryness — use Balance Spring. Uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, or pelvic obstruction causing infertility — add Resolve (Lower).

Nutrition: Drink watermelon juice, pear juice, carrot juice, and celery juice three times daily for bladder support. Beneficial foods for bladder infection: watermelon, pears, carrots, celery, corn (and cornsilk tea), squash, and barley. Beneficial foods for candida: dandelions, beet tops, barley, garlic, mung beans, and citrus. Drink cranberry juice — helps prevent and treat UTI. Drink more water and urinate frequently to flush pathogens. Avoid sugar and yeast foods, cheese, and fermented soy sauce (candida). Avoid spicy/pungent vegetables (pepper, garlic, onions, chili, wasabi). Avoid heavy proteins, dairy, onions, ginger, black pepper, and alcohol (bladder). Avoid mango, durian, coffee, and alcohol. Avoid artificial coloring and processed meats containing nitrites.

Lifestyle: Urinate after intercourse to help prevent UTI. Avoid intercourse during treatment to prevent spreading infection. Both partners should be treated to prevent recurrence. Avoid douching or inserting foreign objects into the vagina; avoid scratching with severe itching. Use loose clothing, silk or cotton underwear — avoid polyester and tight denim. Use hypo-allergenic, fragrance-free soap, detergent, deodorant, and shower gel. Avoid spermicides, lubricants, condoms, diaphragms, and scented hygiene products that may disrupt vaginal pH. Soak underwear in bleach for 24 hours and iron to kill candida spores. Wipe front to back to avoid infection. Women susceptible to infection around menstruation should be especially careful with hygiene.
