Overview
Knee & Ankle (AC)™ is a premium traditional Chinese herbal formula designed to support lower extremity joint comfort, healthy fluid drainage, and optimal blood circulation following temporary mechanical strain or localized tightness. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this pattern is traditionally described as qi and blood stagnation from a recent strain. This traditional framework is not a medical diagnosis, and any injury involving significant swelling, instability, or that doesn't improve should be evaluated by a qualified healthcare professional.
⚠️ Contraindicated during pregnancy and nursing. Contains Dang Gui — patients on anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapies such as warfarin should use with caution or not at all. This formula is traditionally intended for temporary, recent strain — not for longstanding or diagnosed joint conditions; use Knee & Ankle (CR) for longstanding joint support instead.
California Prop 65 Warning: This product contains Da Huang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei). Read and follow directions carefully. Do not use if you have or develop diarrhea, loose stools, or abdominal pain, because Da Huang may worsen these conditions and be harmful to your health. Consult your physician if you have frequent diarrhea or if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition.
Clinical Applications & Benefits
- Support for lower extremity joints following sudden mechanical strain, tightness, or temporary discomfort.
- Promotes healthy fluid movement and eases traditional tissue congestion and stiffness.
- Supports localized muscle relaxation, lower leg circulation, and joint flexibility.
For longstanding or ongoing joint concerns, this formula is traditionally paired with Knee & Ankle (CR) once the initial phase has settled.
Key Herbs (TCM Data)

Dosage & Directions
Standard dosage: 3–4 capsules three times daily. For more pronounced discomfort, some practitioners increase to 5–6 capsules every four to six hours as needed. Take on an empty stomach with warm water for best results.
Supplementary formulas: For significant discomfort, this formula is traditionally paired with Herbal ANG. For longstanding joint support once the initial phase has settled, it is traditionally paired with Knee & Ankle (CR).
Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle
Nutrition: Foods rich in sulfur, such as asparagus, eggs, and garlic, are traditionally recommended to support connective tissue health. Fresh pineapple, which contains bromelain, is also traditionally encouraged. Reducing spicy food, caffeine, citrus fruits, and sugar is traditionally recommended during recovery.
Lifestyle: Resting the affected joint, maintaining a healthy weight to reduce joint pressure, and avoiding sudden or high-impact movement until comfort improves are traditionally recommended.
