Overview
Immune + is a traditional Chinese herbal formula with Astragalus (Huang Qi), Ganoderma/Reishi (Ling Zhi), and Cordyceps (Dong Chong Xia Cao), traditionally used to help support wei (defensive) qi and general immune wellness. Immune + is designed to help tonify the Lung, Spleen, and Kidney, and is traditionally used between illnesses rather than during one.
⚠️ Important: Immune + is designed to help support general immune wellness — it is not intended to treat an active infection. Anyone with a suspected active infection should be evaluated and treated by a physician, or use a formula intended for active infection support, before returning to Immune + once symptoms subside. Use with extreme caution in those with autoimmune disease or those taking immune-suppressant medication after an organ transplant, as this formula may stimulate immune activity — consult your physician before use in these cases.
Clinical Applications & Benefits
Immune + is traditionally used to help support:
- General immune wellness for a weak or run-down constitution
- Recovery support following temporary periods of seasonal or environmental exhaustion
- General wellness maintenance for those wanting to support their immune system
In TCM, wei (defensive) qi is described as the body's outer layer of protection against external factors. This formula is a general wellness support and is not a substitute for medical care during serious chronic health challenges or active medical conditions — always consult your primary physician or specialized medical team before use.
Key Herbs (TCM Data)
— Huang Qi (Astragalus): the chief herb in this formula, traditionally used to fortify the Lung and strengthen wei qi.
— Ling Zhi (Ganoderma/Reishi): traditionally used to help support overall immune wellness and rebuild the underlying constitution.
— Dong Chong Xia Cao (Cordyceps): traditionally used to help support immune wellness and tonify Kidney yin and yang for chronically run-down constitutions.
— Bai Zhu (Atractylodes): traditionally used to help strengthen the Spleen.
— Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra): traditionally used to help close skin pores and support the body's outer defenses.
— Fang Feng (Saposhnikovia): traditionally used to help expel lingering pathogenic factors.
Safety & Contraindications
- Not intended to treat an active infection. Use a formula intended for active infection support first, then resume Immune + once symptoms subside.
- Use with extreme caution, and only with physician guidance, in those with autoimmune disease or those taking immune-suppressant medication after an organ transplant.
- Consult your oncologist before use during cancer treatment.
- Never stop or adjust a prescription medication without consulting your physician.
Dosage & Directions
Active support: 4 capsules three times daily. Maintenance: 2 capsules twice daily to help support ongoing immune wellness.
Supplementary formulas — general wellness: To help tonify constitutional qi, blood, yin, and yang, this formula is traditionally paired with Imperial Tonic. For a quick boost of energy, it is traditionally paired with Vibrant. During advanced wellness regimens, it is traditionally paired with C/R Support or CA Support under professional medical guidance.
During an active infection (resume Immune + after symptoms subside): consider a formula intended for active infection support, such as Lonicera Complex for initial seasonal throat or upper portal discomfort, or Pueraria Clear Sinus or Magnolia Clear Sinus for sinus discomfort, and always see a physician for a suspected infection.
