Overview

Herbal ENT is a traditional Chinese herbal formula traditionally used to help support comfort in the ear, nose, throat, and upper respiratory region during wind-heat and toxic-heat patterns. Herbal ENT is traditionally used to help clear heat in the head and upper jiao and support the body's natural defenses.

Any suspected seasonal immune or upper portal challenge, or any infection that is severe, spreading, or not improving, should be evaluated and treated by a physician. Antibacterial drugs are not effective against viral illness, and taking them unnecessarily can contribute to antibiotic resistance — always follow your physician's guidance on when antibiotics are appropriate. Contraindicated during pregnancy and nursing. Use with caution in cases of loose stools, diarrhea, or yang and qi deficiency — take after meals if you have a sensitive digestive system. If no improvement after 7 days, see a physician. Anyone with fever, headache, stiff neck, sore throat, vomiting, or mental confusion together, especially with extreme neck stiffness, should go to the emergency room immediately, as these can be signs of a serious condition requiring urgent treatment.

Dosage & Directions

Standard: 3–4 capsules three times daily on an empty stomach with warm water. May increase to 6–8 capsules three times daily if needed. Take with meals if you have a sensitive stomach.

Supplementary formulas: For general seasonal throat comfort, this formula is traditionally paired with Lonicera Complex. For advanced nasal passage comfort, it is traditionally paired with Magnolia Clear Sinus or Pueraria Clear Sinus. For general respiratory comfort, it is traditionally paired with Respitrol (Heat) or Respitrol (Cold). For advanced systemic cooling, it is traditionally paired with Astringent Complex or Gardenia Complex.

Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle

Nutrition: Cool and hydrating foods such as watermelon, cucumber, and leafy greens are traditionally encouraged. Plenty of water is traditionally encouraged. Spicy, fried, or greasy foods are traditionally reduced.

Lifestyle: Adequate rest is traditionally encouraged to support recovery. Warm salt water gargling and steam inhalation are traditionally used to help soothe the throat and nasal passages. Regular exercise and a generally healthy lifestyle are traditionally encouraged to help support overall immune wellness.
