Overview

Vitality is a traditional Chinese herbal formula traditionally used to help support natural constitutional vitality, resilience, and inner warming in men and women. Vitality is traditionally used to help warm Kidney yang and replenish Kidney jing (essence).

⚠️ Important: This formula is a general wellness support and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment of underlying reproductive or physical vitality concerns, which require a physician's full care. Contraindicated in cases of active infection or inflammation. This formula is warm to hot in nature — prolonged use may cause thirst, dry mouth, warm sensations, constipation, flushed face, or nosebleeds; decrease dosage or temporarily discontinue if these occur. Use with caution if you have hypertension, as warm/hot herbs may raise blood pressure. Do not take this formula if you have a pacemaker or take antiarrhythmic medication or cardiac glycosides such as digoxin — an included herb (Fu Zi) may interact with these and affect heart rhythm. Contains Dang Gui, which invigorates blood — use with caution, and only under physician guidance, if taking warfarin or other anticoagulant/antiplatelet therapy.

Vitality is traditionally understood to work gradually by supporting the underlying constitution rather than providing an immediate effect — continuous use for 2–3 months is traditionally recommended. Vitality is traditionally paired with Vital Essence, which is traditionally used to replenish Kidney yin and jing. This formula is a general wellness support and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment of underlying vitality concerns, which can have many underlying causes. Profound fatigue or low vitality can have many underlying causes, including stress, other health conditions, and certain medications — anyone with ongoing or concerning symptoms should see a physician for a full evaluation.

— Yin Yang Huo (Epimedium): chief herb, traditionally known as "horny goat weed"; traditionally used to help support sexual desire and vitality.

— Jiu Cai Zi (Chinese Leek Seed): traditionally used to help warm Kidney yang.

— Shan Zhu Yu (Cornus) and Suo Yang (Cynomorium): traditionally used to help tonify Kidney jing.

— Ren Shen (Ginseng): traditionally used to help replenish vital energy and support stamina.

— Gou Qi Zi (Goji Berry): traditionally used to help tonify Kidney jing.

— Ba Ji Tian (Morinda): traditionally used to help warm Kidney yang and support resilience to stress.

— Dang Gui (Angelica): traditionally used to help tonify and move blood.

— Du Zhong (Eucommia) and She Chuang Zi (Cnidium): traditionally used to help warm Kidney yang and support healthy circulation.

— Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite) and Rou Gui (Cinnamon Bark): traditionally used to help warm and revitalize Kidney yang.

— Tu Si Zi (Cuscuta), Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia), and Shan Yao (Chinese Yam): traditionally used to help tonify Kidney jing.

Safety & Contraindications

2. Contraindicated in cases of active infection or inflammation.

Dosage & Directions

Standard: 3–4 capsules three times daily on an empty stomach with warm water.

Supplementary formulas: For general energy and vitality, this formula is traditionally paired with Vibrant or Imperial Tonic. For advanced traditional essence support, it is traditionally paired with Vital Essence or Blossom (Phases 1–4). For general constitutional support, it is traditionally paired with Cordyceps 3 or Adrenal +.

Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle

Nutrition: Alcohol is traditionally reduced, as it can affect overall vitality. Foods rich in vitamin E and zinc, such as nuts, seeds, whole grains, and lean proteins, are traditionally encouraged. Moderate portions of shellfish and lean meats are traditionally included.

Lifestyle: Regular, moderate exercise and adequate rest are traditionally encouraged. Excessive heat exposure (saunas, hot tubs, tight clothing) is traditionally reduced. Avoiding overexertion during periods of stress or fatigue is traditionally recommended.
