Venus™

TCM herbal formula for natural breast enhancement and lactation support — tonifies Kidney yang and jing (essence); opens channels in the breasts; invigorates blood circulation; regulates endocrine system; increases sex hormone production; stimulates breast tissue growth

⚠️ Contraindicated during pregnancy. Contraindicated in patients with acute infection or heat accumulation, fibrocystic breast disorders, hormone-dependent cancer, or personal or family history of breast cancer or cancer of any gynecological organs. Do not take for more than six months — this formula has warming properties. Menopausal patients should use with caution as it may be too warming. Contains Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), which invigorates blood circulation — patients on anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapies such as Coumadin (warfarin) should use with caution or not at all due to higher risk of bleeding and bruising. Regarding Dang Gui and hormone-dependent cancer: one reference found no confirmation of phytoestrogen activity or effect on hormone-dependent cancer when ferulic acid is evaluated as the main component, and no thickening of the endometrium or vaginal cell maturation was observed. However, another reference found that the water extract of Dang Gui has weak estrogen-agonistic activity that may stimulate growth of breast cancer cells (MCF-7). Due to conflicting and insufficient data, use of Dang Gui in patients with hormone-dependent cancer warrants caution pending further study. Some patients may notice breast tenderness after taking these herbs — this is an indication of growth and is not cause for concern. Tone improvement may be noticed after 4–6 weeks; actual growth may begin after 3–6 months. Full growth potential depends on body constitution, genetics, consistent intake of herbs, diet, and exercise. This formula can only enhance breasts to their maximum genetic potential — not beyond.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS

* Breast augmentation: enhances small or underdeveloped breasts; maintains healthy breast shape and size

* Nursing: promotes lactation in nursing women

Background: Female breasts develop over several stages. During adolescence, as the ovaries begin to secrete estrogen, fat in the connective tissue accumulates causing the breasts to enlarge and the duct system to grow. When ovulation and menstruation begin, secretory glands form at the end of the milk ducts. With pregnancy and lactation, the breasts mature and become capable of producing milk. At menopause, estrogen decreases dramatically, leading to reduction in breast size and shape. Most women never achieve their full breast potential due to interruptions during development — poor diet, hormonal imbalances, stress during adolescence, exposure to pollutants, pesticides and chemicals, and lack of certain vitamins and minerals during puberty. Small breasts are usually due to heredity, interruption of growth during adolescence, and nutritional deficiencies.

Key herb-level clinical data:

Lu Rong (Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum / Deer Antler Velvet): chief ingredient — tonifies ming men (life gate) fire; replenishes jing (essence) and blood; stimulates the pituitary gland to release growth hormones that promote the growth of reproductive organs including the breasts; historically used with great success to treat children with slow growth and development; in vitro and in vivo studies confirm it increases production of hormones responsible for developing secondary sex characteristics; improves blood circulation

Yin Yang Huo (Herba Epimedii / Epimedium): tonifies Kidney yang; enhances libido; increases sexual desire and activity

Huang Qi (Radix Astragali / Astragalus): tonifies the Spleen — the organ responsible for generating muscle and tissue; tones and firms the muscles around the breasts; stimulates the growth of new tissues

Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis / Angelica Sinensis): tonifies blood; promotes blood circulation; regulates menstruation; phyto-estrogenic effect — stimulates the estrogenic receptors of the breasts and helps them grow to their fullest potential; estrogen-like action associated with increase in sex organs; promotes angiogenesis (blood vessel formation); improves overall blood circulation by decreasing whole blood specific viscosity and improving hemorrheological changes associated with blood stagnation

Wang Bu Liu Xing (Semen Vaccariae / Vaccaria Seed): invigorates blood circulation; promotes lactation; stimulates growth of sex organs; clinically: daily administration was effective in promoting growth and metabolism of breast tissue

Mu Tong (Caulis Akebiae / Akebia Stem): invigorates blood circulation; promotes lactation; historically used on postpartum women to support mammary glands and promote lactation; in women who are not nursing, enlarges breast tissue

Tong Cao (Medulla Tetrapanacis / Tetrapanax Pith): invigorates blood circulation; promotes lactation; supports mammary glands postpartum; in women who are not nursing, enlarges breast tissue

Bai Zhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae / Angelica Dahurica): channel-guiding herb — enters the Stomach channel and passes through the breasts to draw nutrients from the other tonic herbs to the breast area

WESTERN THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS

* Endocrine regulation / hormone production — Lu Rong (pituitary stimulation, growth hormones, secondary sex characteristics); Dang Gui (phyto-estrogenic, estrogen receptor stimulation)

* Stimulates breast tissue growth — Lu Rong (reproductive organ development); Wang Bu Liu Xing (breast tissue growth and metabolism); Dang Gui (estrogen receptors, sex organ growth)

* Improves blood circulation — Lu Rong; Dang Gui (angiogenesis, blood viscosity↓); Huang Qi (new tissue growth)

* Promotes lactation — Wang Bu Liu Xing; Mu Tong; Tong Cao (mammary gland support, milk production)

CHINESE THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS

* Tonifies Kidney yang and jing (essence) (Lu Rong, Yin Yang Huo)

* Opens channels in the breasts; guides nutrients to breast area (Bai Zhi)

* Invigorates blood circulation; promotes lactation (Dang Gui, Wang Bu Liu Xing, Mu Tong, Tong Cao)

* Tonifies Spleen; generates muscle and tissue (Huang Qi)

DOSAGE

* Breast augmentation: 2–4 capsules on an empty stomach three times daily. For maximum effectiveness, perform the breast exercises listed below twice daily.

* Nursing: 2 capsules daily. Discontinue if the baby has diarrhea.

BREAST EXERCISES

These exercises strengthen the connective tissues around the breasts and promote the growth of new cells. Perform twice daily in addition to taking the herbs for maximum shaping, toning, and lifting effects.

1. Breast Massage — Step 1 (prevents ligament laxity and drooping): Massage the breasts in a circular motion going outwards. Gradually increase the size of the circular motion to cover the neck and shoulder. Repeat for 3–5 minutes.

2. Breast Massage — Step 2 (covers entire bottom curve): Stroke the bottom of one breast upward using right and left hands in alternating motion. Repeat 50 times for each breast.

3. Praying Style Exercise (strengthens pectoral muscles, brings circulation to the chest): Stand up straight with palms together in a prayer position in front of the chest — both elbows form a straight horizontal line. Push palms together to feel the muscles under the breasts contracting. While pushing palms together, raise the arms up to the forehead with elbows still in a straight line and hold for 2–3 seconds. Release and return to original position. Repeat 10 times.

4. Expand the Chest Exercise (strengthens upper chest muscles, opens the Ren/conception channel): Clasp hands behind your back with palms facing down. Take a deep breath in, thrust chest outward, and lift clasped hands behind your back. Tighten lower back muscles and arch your whole body including your neck. Return to relaxed position. Repeat 10 times.

NUTRITION

Eat a nutritious diet and increase consumption of lamb (excellent Kidney tonic). Increase protein (beans, eggs) and foods high in collagen (tendons, chicken wings, animal skin). Other recommendations: lotus seeds, sunflower seeds, peanuts, strawberries, dates, yam, papaya, taro, onions, celery, chives, spinach, oranges, carrots, milk, and cheese. Avoid fried and fatty foods, sugar, dairy, and caffeine as much as possible. For low libido, increase vitamin E — found in wheat germ oil, almonds, sunflower seeds, peanuts, soybeans, whole-wheat products, and asparagus.

Galactagogue foods that promote breast milk production: Grains (oats, barley, millet, brown rice). All green leafy vegetables. Root vegetables (carrot, beet, yam). Garlic and ginger (from the second week onwards, in moderation). Green papaya (rich in oxytocin). Salmon (essential fatty acids and omega-3). Fenugreek and fennel (galactagogue effects). Raw nuts (peanuts, almonds, macadamia, cashews). Healthy fats (sesame oil, extra virgin olive oil). Legumes and beans (red beans/adzuki, black beans, kidney beans, tofu/soy).

LIFESTYLE INSTRUCTIONS

Tight bras are not recommended — constriction impairs proper circulation to the breasts. Use cold water to shower the breasts for a firming and massaging effect; avoid water that is too hot as it may loosen surrounding tissue. Proper posture is important to prevent sagging. Swimming is recommended. Exercises that involve excessive vertical (up and down) movement of the breasts are not recommended as they may cause stretching or lengthening of the surrounding tendons and ligaments.
