Overview

Blossom (Phase 2) is a traditional Chinese herbal formula and the second of four formulas in a cycle-based fertility support protocol, traditionally used during the follicular phase (the week after menstruation) to help nourish blood and support Kidney yin. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this phase is traditionally focused on restoring blood and yin to help build a healthy foundation for the rest of the cycle. This formula is designed as a complementary traditional support alongside your physician's fertility care.

Blossom (Phase 2) is traditionally used to help support:

This is the second phase of a cycle-based fertility support protocol. Use Blossom (Phase 1) during the menstrual phase, Blossom (Phase 2) during the follicular phase, Blossom (Phase 3) during the ovulatory phase, and Blossom (Phase 4) during the luteal phase. Fertility support should always be coordinated with a qualified healthcare provider.

Key Herbs (TCM Data)

— Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis), Shu Di Huang (Prepared Rehmannia), and E Jiao (Donkey Hide Gelatin): traditionally considered among the most effective blood-nourishing herbs, used to help replenish blood after menstruation.

— Bai Zhu, Fu Ling (Poria), and Shan Yao (Chinese Yam): traditionally used to strengthen the Spleen and support healthy blood production.

— Shan Zhu Yu (Cornus), Nu Zhen Zi (Ligustrum), and Gou Qi Zi (Wolfberry): traditionally used to nourish Kidney yin and jing (essence).

— Tu Si Zi (Cuscuta) and Lu Jiao Shuang (Deer Antler Gelatin Residue): mild yang tonics traditionally included to help balance the formula's yin tonics.

— Wu Wei Zi (Schisandra): traditionally used as an astringent to help consolidate jing (essence).

— Ze Xie (Alisma), Chuan Xiong, Mu Dan Pi (Moutan), and Chong Wei Zi (Motherwort Fruit): traditionally used to gently move blood and offset the rich tonics in the formula.

— Niu Xi (Achyranthes): a channel-guiding herb traditionally used to direct the formula's effect to the lower jiao.

Safety & Contraindications

1. Discontinue use once pregnancy is confirmed.
2. Contains Dang Gui — those on anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapy such as warfarin should use with caution or avoid this formula.
3. Fertility support should always be coordinated with a qualified healthcare provider.

Dosage & Directions

Standard dosage: 4–6 capsules three times daily on an empty stomach, taken during the follicular phase (the week after menstruation). Discontinue once pregnancy is confirmed.

Supplementary formulas: This is one part of a four-phase cycle support protocol — Blossom (Phase 1) during menstruation, Blossom (Phase 2) during the follicular phase, Blossom (Phase 3) during ovulation, and Blossom (Phase 4) during the luteal phase.

Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle

Nutrition: A trail mix of dried cranberries, walnuts, sesame seeds, longan fruit, and cashews is traditionally encouraged as part of a fertility-supportive diet.

Lifestyle: Adequate rest and gentle movement are traditionally recommended to support blood recovery during this phase.
