Overview
Silerex is a traditional Chinese herbal formula traditionally used to help calm occasional itching, redness, and skin irritation, including reactions traditionally associated with foods, environmental exposures, or seasonal changes. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this type of skin discomfort is traditionally associated with wind, heat, and dampness. Silerex is formulated to help disperse wind, clear heat, cool the blood, and support the body's natural balance.
⚠️ Silerex is traditionally used to help ease symptoms; it is not intended to address the underlying cause of an allergy. Every effort should be made to identify and avoid the trigger. It's not intended for long-term use simply to manage ongoing symptoms — if there's no improvement after 2–3 weeks, consult a practitioner about adjusting your approach.
Clinical Applications & Benefits
Silerex is traditionally used to help support:
- Comfort during occasional itching, redness, or irritated skin
- Skin comfort following exposure to foods, environmental factors, or seasonal triggers
- The body's natural balance during occasional hives or general skin sensitivity
- General comfort alongside a broader plan to identify and reduce exposure to triggers
People managing occasional itching, skin sensitivity, or seasonal skin discomfort traditionally use formulas like this one alongside practical steps to identify and avoid triggers.

Safety & Contraindications
- Not intended for long-term use to simply manage ongoing symptoms; identifying and avoiding the underlying trigger is the recommended long-term approach.
- If there is no improvement after 2–3 weeks, consult a practitioner about adjusting your approach.
- Contains Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), which invigorates blood — use with caution or avoid alongside warfarin (Coumadin) or anticoagulant/antiplatelet therapy due to a higher risk of bleeding and bruising.
- As with any herbal supplement, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before use, especially alongside other medications, and seek medical care for severe or spreading reactions, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face or throat.
Dosage & Directions
Standard dosage: 5–6 capsules with warm water on an empty stomach every six hours as needed. Taking Silerex ahead of a known trigger exposure is traditionally used to help support the body's resilience.
Supplementary formulas: For weepy skin conditions, this formula is traditionally paired with Dermatrol (Damp). For dry skin conditions, it is traditionally paired with Dermatrol (Dry). For itching that worsens with stress, it is traditionally paired with Calm.
Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle
Nutrition: Reducing seafood, duck, goose, onions, garlic, sugar, alcohol, and raw, spicy, fried, or greasy foods is traditionally recommended, as these are traditionally associated with increased skin irritation. Increasing flax seed oil is traditionally encouraged to help support the body's natural inflammatory balance.
Lifestyle: The best long-term approach is identifying and avoiding the trigger. Supporting overall health and immune balance is traditionally recommended to help reduce the frequency of skin reactions. Cotton or silk clothing is traditionally preferred over synthetic fibers for better ventilation.
Case Studies
The following reflect individual practitioner experiences and traditional use; results vary and are not guarantees of outcome for any individual.
"K.B., age 62, experienced ongoing skin sensitivity and localized dryness on both arms, consistent with a Lung and Liver heat pattern. After combining Silerex with a complementary formula for two weeks, the skin cleared, and he continued the combination for maintenance."
"S.T., a 39-year-old woman, experienced hives with redness and itchiness, consistent with a wind-heat pattern with dampness. After two months on Silerex, her hives noticeably lessened; she continued the formula to help maintain the improvement."
