Overview
Resolve (Upper) is a traditional Chinese herbal formula traditionally used to help support healthy breast tissue and ease occasional breast discomfort, fullness, or tenderness. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this pattern is traditionally understood as qi, blood, and phlegm stagnation, often associated with prolonged Liver qi stagnation. Resolve (Upper) is formulated to help unblock stagnant Liver qi, support healthy circulation, and help clear heat.
⚠️ Important: Any new, persistent, or changing area of firmness or fullness in the breast tissue should be evaluated by a licensed healthcare practitioner promptly to rule out a serious underlying condition before beginning any herbal support. This formula is intended only as traditional supportive care alongside appropriate medical evaluation, not as a substitute for it.
Clinical Applications & Benefits
Resolve (Upper) is traditionally used to help support:
- Healthy breast tissue and comfort during the early, mild stages of fullness or tenderness
- Healthy circulation and reduced sensation of tightness or distension in the chest
- Balanced Liver qi flow, particularly for discomfort tied to hormonal fluctuation
- Traditional support for occasional breast-area swelling or warmth
People experiencing breast tenderness, fullness, or occasional swelling around their cycle traditionally turn to formulas like this one, always alongside proper medical evaluation of any area of concern.

- Not recommended during pregnancy or nursing.
- Use with caution during menstruation, as it may increase menstrual flow.
- Not intended for long-term use; discontinue once the desired result is achieved and consult a practitioner for ongoing support.
- Contains Dang Gui Wei, which invigorates blood circulation; use with caution or avoid alongside warfarin (Coumadin) or other anticoagulant or antiplatelet medications due to increased bleeding risk.

Dosage & Directions
Standard dosage: 3–4 capsules three times daily on an empty stomach with warm water (take with food if the stomach is sensitive). Traditionally taken continuously for 1–2 months before evaluating progress with a healthcare practitioner. Once improvement is confirmed, continue for an additional 2 weeks to help consolidate results, then discontinue.
Supplementary formulas: For occasional PMS-related irritability, this formula is traditionally paired with Calm. For general fatigue and immune support, it is traditionally paired with Immune+. For individuals with a weaker constitution, it is traditionally paired with Imperial Tonic.
Clinical notes: Managing stress is traditionally considered supportive, as prolonged tension is associated with Liver qi stagnation. Avoiding underwire bras is also traditionally recommended to help support healthy local circulation.
Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle
Nutrition: A diet rich in organic fruits and vegetables is traditionally recommended, along with mushrooms, whole grains, cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower), garlic, onions, and fresh berries. Reducing red meat, processed foods, alcohol, caffeine, and conventionally raised meats is also traditionally recommended.
Lifestyle: Minimizing unnecessary exposure to radiation sources, practicing relaxation techniques, maintaining a positive outlook, and regular exercise are traditionally recommended to support overall breast health and comfort.
Case Studies
The following reflect individual practitioner experiences and traditional use; results vary and are not guarantees of outcome for any individual. Any area of concern in breast tissue should always be medically evaluated.
"J.S., age 34, had a benign area of breast tissue firmness on the right side that had been medically evaluated, with associated tenderness before her cycle and fatigue from overwork, consistent with a Spleen yang deficiency pattern with phlegm accumulation. After combining Resolve (Upper) with a complementary immune-support formula, she reported feeling much better and having greatly improved energy within two weeks, with only slight tenderness remaining after one month. She continued to follow up with her healthcare provider throughout."
