Overview
Pinellia XPT is a traditional Chinese herbal formula traditionally used to help ease cough with phlegm, chest congestion, and post-nasal drip. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this pattern is traditionally associated with phlegm-heat and impaired Lung qi. This traditional framework is not a medical diagnosis, and respiratory symptoms can have many causes that may require medical evaluation.
⚠️ This product is not a substitute for medical care. Seek urgent medical attention for severe shortness of breath, chest pain, confusion, blue lips, or high fever. Not intended for use during pregnancy or nursing, and not intended for long-term use.
Clinical Applications & Benefits
Pinellia XPT is traditionally used to help support:
- Comfort during cough with phlegm
- Chest congestion and a feeling of fullness
- Post-nasal drip and related cough
Respiratory symptoms that persist, worsen, or include fever, chest pain, or difficulty breathing require medical evaluation, not self-treatment alone.

Dosage & Directions
Standard dosage: 4–6 capsules three times daily on an empty stomach with warm water. Discontinue when the desired effects are achieved. If stomach discomfort occurs, reduce the dosage or take with food.
Supplementary formulas: For underlying damp and phlegm due to Spleen qi deficiency, this formula is traditionally paired with Pinellia Complex. For persistent cough, it is traditionally paired with Respitrol (CF). Respiratory symptoms with fever or chest congestion should be evaluated by a qualified professional before combining formulas.
Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle
Nutrition: Reducing greasy or spicy foods that worsen digestive discomfort, and avoiding smoking and secondhand smoke, is traditionally recommended. Staying hydrated and choosing well-tolerated foods is also encouraged.
Lifestyle: Using a humidifier if appropriate for your environment is traditionally recommended, alongside following medical guidance for persistent or recurrent respiratory symptoms.
