Overview
Mense-Ease is a traditional Chinese herbal formula traditionally used to help ease menstrual cramping, bloating, and lower abdominal discomfort. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, these patterns are traditionally associated with qi and blood stagnation in the lower jiao. Mense-Ease is designed to help invigorate blood circulation and ease qi stagnation as a complementary traditional support.
⚠️ Important: This formula is a complement to, not a substitute for, medical care. See the Safety & Contraindications section below for full precautions before use.
Clinical Applications & Benefits
Mense-Ease is traditionally used to help support comfort during:
- Menstrual cramping, bloating, and lower abdominal discomfort
- Postpartum discomfort
- Overall ease during the menstrual cycle as part of a broader wellness routine
This formula addresses the pattern from a traditional root-and-branch perspective. Anyone with persistent or severe menstrual pain, or a diagnosed condition such as endometriosis or PCOS, should work with a physician on a full evaluation and treatment plan.

Dosage & Directions
Standard dosage: 3–4 capsules three times daily on an empty stomach with warm water. For more intense discomfort, up to 5–6 capsules every 4 hours as needed. For best results, begin 3 days before the start of menstruation, traditionally combined with Calm.
Supplementary formulas: For additional pain relief support, this formula is traditionally paired with Herbal ANG. For PMS irritability, it is traditionally paired with Calm. For postpartum recovery, it is traditionally paired with Imperial Tonic. For deeper pelvic tissue support, it is traditionally paired with Resolve (Lower).
Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle
Nutrition: Cold and sour foods are traditionally discouraged, especially the week before and during menstruation. Reducing salt, processed foods, and caffeine while increasing calcium-rich foods, whole grains, and hydration is traditionally recommended.
Lifestyle: Avoiding cold environments, using heat packs on the abdomen, keeping the belly and low back covered and warm, and managing stress are all traditionally recommended to support comfort during menstruation.
